I just bought two of these--Iron and Wine and the Weakerthans--about an hour ago. Already had a few...comments here...
Yeah, Iron and Wine is awesome. Beautiful, lush, all Brian Deck-ed out and glorious. Meets expectations.
I'm more concerned with The Weakerthans than any, whose "Reconstruction Site" a few years ago still makes me yearn for something faintly indescribable and just out of reach. The single "Civil Twilight" is just awesome. Check 'em both out.
PJ Harvey's okay, still not as good as "Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea" or "Rid of Me" before it.
The Miles Davis box is probably great.
Devendra's new one is great. I'm still partial to my "Rejoicing..." and "Nino Rojo" 2x LP, however the track "Seahorse" from "Smokey Rolls..." is gorgeous.

And come on...the New Amsterdams still got it!
