I always thought Gish had more of a Black Sabbath-lite sound to it myself. I think the Smashing Pumpkins were the first band I fell in love with, so it really hurt when I realised that Billy Corgan was a horrible person and that Mellon Collie and the stuff after was, on the whole poor. I'm glad we have all agreed that Drown rocks.
