I thought I was a Buffy fan until I went to one of those "Once More, With Feeling" sing-alongs (a sold-out midnight show at Seattle's Egyptian Theater) a couple months back.
I wasn't prepared for how hardcore it all was.
Many folks were dressed up (there were several male Buffys), most knew the lyrics by heart, and everyone participated ferociously. I needed the subtitles... and I didn't dare make it known that I still find the musical episode a very good, not earth-shatteringly great, Buffy outing.
Oh, and lots of people boo'd Michelle Trachtenberg every time she delivered a line. Dawn backlash -- who knew? (I can't be the only person who liked Buffy's insta-sis, right? Right?)
I've seen every episode of Buffy. Yet I'm still, apparently, a lightweight.
