The answer to your question is no!

Girls and Boys in Love has a bouncy beat, but there the similarity ends. It is certainly not Motown by any stretch of the imagination. The chords and structure are also different, so it would not be practical to replace Martha's vocal soundtrack with that of Waller's.

I like this track very much, and the same goes for Heat Wave, but I can enjoy both for what they are, and am not hung up on any spurious ill-judged comparisons.
