god, I love them! For me, even though I absolutely adore them and that's why I went, they never kicked up their Silversun-galore until they played "Future Foe Scenarios" 'cause that was when 1) they had the most genius idea to turn Brian's two monitors around so that we could hear the amazing political lyrics in that song and 2) that was when I finally got to the very front row. So yayyy, I got to the front row at Silversun two years in a row now! Unfortunately, that didn't last long because by the time "Lazy Eye" came on 1) the chick right next to me got really annoyed at my broad shoulders and my yelling all the lyrics straight into her ear and pushed me out and 2) there was a guy a little behind me that I was throwing my own lazy eyes toward, so I made an effort to lean back and get a little closer to him.

So true.
And just before "Lazy Eye" and my move back to the second row, I yelled out "I LOVE YOU BRIAN" (because hey, Nikki isn't the only hot one) so Brian and I had a little moment. Kinda. Okay, not really. But he did shoot some lazy eyes back at me, if you will, and that made my night.
Just like Chris, I also bought Carnavas but never uploaded it to my ipod. But for a different reason. I so would update it to my ipod because I would kill to listen to that on my walks around town, but uhhh, technical difficulties ensure, and now I have no idea how to upload any new stuff to my ipod. I was amazed at how incredibly dark and driven Carnavas sounds - definitely a contrast from Pikul and my personal favourite that is "kissing families" because while Pikul songs thrived on simplicity, Carnavas drove deep. I just love immediate shift of vibe without prefering one over the other, and it was really great that they concluded with an encore of soft ballards from Pikul. I was skeptical about Silversun being able to headline (because you all should now how ridiculously crazy it would be to even attempt to live up to Murder City Devils) but they sure as all hell packed the entire intersection, and not only could they get everyone wild and moved during the sheer lividness of Carnavas, they were able to calm and move (in a calming emotional sense, now) the crowd with the encore.
Amazing, and I highly look forward to making it to the front row at Silversun Pickups' set when they headline the Main Arena Stage at Bumbershoot.
