It was actually out last week, but we did venue sales for the the pre-view performance of the movie last night @ the 5th Avenue Theater.
1700 people showed up and paid $25 bucks a pop (it was a benefit)to see the movie before it hits theaters this Friday.
Whats interesting is that we sold 105 copies of the Soundtrack, which will surely move it into the top 20 for the week.
We were literally MOBBED both before and after the show and although it was fun to be part of such a frenzy, I am still scratching my head over the whole thing.
I refused to sit in on any of the show because in my book there will always only be one Hairspray!
