Speaking of Swedes, have you heard the Pelle Carlberg record? Sheer pop genius in Belle & Sebastian, Smiths and Billy Bragg kinda way. It's been out on Labrador for a while, but is getting US release via twentyseven. He was recently over to the US for a short tour, though sadly nowhere near Seattle.
