C'mon now folks. The Georgetown Music Festival is the only one of its size that keeps things local and, while of course every band on their isn't going to appeal to everyone, there's some damn fine budding talent on that list, the ticket prices are usually super affordable, and it's a great way to explore a bunch of new and (mostly) unknown local bands in town. Which is one of our most favorite imaginary things to do.

Topping my personal picks (tho I must confess I haven't even heard all these bands yet): Dept of Energy, The Trucks, Young Sportsmen, BOAT, The Hands, Iceage Cobra, Spook the Horse, and Tiny Vipers are gonna sounds fantabulous in the sunshine.

I don't know, but I'm curious about the Kindness Kind, Pink Snowflakes, and Hungry Pines (love the name).

I love me a good time in the South end!
