Which leads into the quote above. In that context, I'm with her. I think she's talking about the Good Charlottes and Red Hot Chili Pepperses and John Mayers when she says "our biggest bands back home are crap." I think she's talking about the ones that make the cover of Rolling Stone and spin unstoppably on mainstream radio. I would reckon most of the imaginary world would agree — isn't that why we're here, in our little corner of the cybersphere, indulging ourselves with all the good music we can dig up from beyond the tired same ol' same ol'?

But young Ms. Dunst may have not thought her statement through very well — and apparently doesn't realize that neither Bono/U2 nor Amy Winehouse are actually American.

Summary: Kirsten Dunst should read tig.
