A friend of mine fostered a long-term hatred of Tool based on their song Sober. She hated them for years until recently discovering that she had misunderstood their lyrics. Instead of "why can't we not be sober?" she had thought they said "why can't we knock things over?" After realizing her mistake, she listened again and realized they were still worth hating.

I can't believe you knock The Divorce but profess to enjoy The Lashes. Gross!
