Whatever happened to Banner Barbados? They haven't logged into their Myspace page since January, and absolutely no one knows them since they never play. But LISTEN TO "Since You Caught My Eye"--the best single of at least 3 months of 2005 far as I'm concerned. Then they disappeared. But damn if they don't make good on their claim to be "Dylan-esque Bowie channeling the Velvets on X". I loved that part of the press release.
Are they, Aveo, and The Prom just floating around Lake Washington somewhere, not playing music anymore? Maybe I'm just selfish when I say, "Quit the day job, rack up some credit card debt and put out a record! I'll fund each of you three bands 100 dollars (retroactively) should you release something in the next year...and none of this 'digital only' shit! 7 inches! Hand painted CD-Rs! Let's go!"
