I think each of these bands you've suggested should be required to take a test on the rise (and fall) of Brit Pop. If Slender Means can't give a detailed history of Alan McGee or Shake Some Action can't tell us who Pete Astor is and the historical significance of 'Up The Hill And Down The Slope,' then there's no way they deserve to open for Jarvis Cocker! Let's be honest here.
