Tonight I'm very excited to see the lovely, Australian singer-songwriter Lenka at the Triple Door.
Lenka is a pop songwriter/singer who reminds me of Regina Spektor (but I love Spektor so she reminds me of her in a good way) with more world beat influences and whose songs are a little catchier and more accessible. I've really been enjoying her debut, self-titled album, which came out in the second half of 2008.
Tonight she'll be at the Triple Door with opener Gabe Dixon - and you should be too.
Here's the video to her addictive single "Trouble is a Friend":

Lenka is OK. She's waaaaay too 'cutesy' - if she were 16 or something, that'd be one thing, but Lenka is in her 30's!
