It's no surprise that we're huge fans of Seattle's Hardly Art label and it's definately no surprise that we dig their release of the Dutchess and the Duke album as much as they do.
As igShrie so eloquently describes Dutchess and the Duke, the heart-melty duo sings with the wisdom of Bob Dylan and the striking magnetism of Leonard Cohen. What's not to love? Even their slightly gory video (below) is heart-melty neat.
Dutchess and the Duke will be at The Showbox SoDo Lounge on Friday night February 20th and we're pleased as gory punch to have a pair of tickets to give away.
Enter to win them by emailing tig @ three imaginary girls . com (with a subject line of DutchieTix) by noon on Tuesday 2/17.

Is it just me or does Sodo seem like a really big venue for them. Are they big enough to fill that place out? I thought they were more of a Showbox at the Market sized band. Maybe I'm wrong. Good for them.

Excellent point.
Just updated the listing - it's in the LOUNGE part of SoDo - so both the Dutchess and the Duke will be approachable enough for pal-y flickr moments and belly shots.
