Just picked up this news via The Croc's Twitter. (About the music biz on Twitter: you thought I was just blowing smoke like Michael Phelps, didn't you? It's ok. I still like you.)
The new, green, logo:

The new show:
Dr. Dog
April 14th, 2009 (tix)
Dr. Dog self-describes: "Dr. Dog is a musical band from the greater West Philadelphia area. We are interested in three-part harmonies, the out-of-doors, hoagies, vegetables and diminished chords."
Hmmm. Fleet Foxes of the east, perhaps?
The new(er) name:
The Crocodile is now just The Crocodile. The "Cafe" part of the name is gone. Which is just as well, since no one ever called the old incarnation by its full name. Think they'll ever shorten it to The Croc? We all just call it that anyway.

I'm not sure if that version is designed by the master, but I know the new t-shirts were designed by our very famous friend Corianton Hale (he designed the TIG logo, banner, works).

So maybe that green thing on Ticketmaster isn't the new logo? Now I'm confused. I'm sure hope The Crocodile helps us out soon enough. (See what happens when you leave us in the dark, Croc? False rumors and secret whispers start.)
I LOVE the design by Corianton Hale. Sweeeeeet!

I'm guessing the Ticketmaster logo isn't new. The Corianton one is SUPA sweet! Love the stamp. Sigh. I'm soooooo excited for the reopening.

Um, the green logo isnt actually new. It was done a handful of years ago for a t-shirt. I had them put it up on Ticketmaster to replace an image they had put in of the "other" Crocodile Cafe... http://www.crocodilecafe.com/
The new logo looks great!

rad. love the Crocodile. i heard there might be a show later on this month there. Anyone know?
Also, news on a Ticketmaster/Live Nation merger. Don't think the fees will get any better.
