Don't see your show on our calendar? Contact our calendar editor.
Laura Musselman, photographer extraordinaire, made her way to Everett last night to spend some time with Neil and the Death Cab boys. We haven't heard any reports on how the show was, but the pictures tell the story that it was pretty fab.
Does anyone have some highlights or a set list for either band? (although one of Laura's stelth photos might give us a bit of a clue of what was played).
Tell us how it all went down.

I wish I could give you a report, but I was only allowed to see the songs I was shooting (the first 3 DCfC and the first 2 NY)! I just felt lucky to be there. I wish I could have heard those songs he had cheat-sheets for on the piano. *sigh*

The photos are absolutely beautiful. You did an incredible job given the tight time constraint.
It's a fact that Chris Walla always has the best sweaters.

I was trying to talk my dad into coming into town for this show (he lives in SW Washington), because I figured it would be the best possible father/daughter bonding. Unfortunately, he didn't want to make the 3 hour drive, and I'm an idiot and forgot to get tickets on my own. Beautiful photos!

Are those paint splatters on Neil Young's jacket?
Just asking.

Yes on the paint splatters. Looked like he'd just finished winterizing the barn. But wardrobe aside, Neil rocked the house. His backup-singing wife, Peggy, was radiant as well. My favorite Neil performance was probably "Unknown Legend," but I've always been a total sucker for the live acoustic ballads.
The Death Cab boys could have easily entertained the crowd for another hour or so. (What? No "Title and Registration" or "Blacking Out the Friction"?)
And thanks for the amazing photos, Laura, a speaker hung from the ceiling was blocking Ben's head from my view during the entire set, but thanks to you I've now seen him from the neck up.

P.S. If Death Cab hadn’t played “I Will Possess Your Heart,” they probably could have squeezed in three more songs.

Laura, those photos are stellar!
I thought it was funny how Ben kept telling us who they were and that they were from Seattle. It would've been nice if they had at least 25 more minutes as their set only lasted 55:13; but it took a while to set up the stage for NY.
Here's the DCFC setlist:
1. Employment Pages (great song to start the show!)
2. Your Heart is an Empty Room
3. The New Year
4. Crooked Teeth
5. Long Division
6. Grapevine Fires
7. Soul Meets Body
8. I Will Follow You into the Dark (BG accoustic/solo)
9. I Will Possess Your Heart (extended intro)
10. Cath...
11. The Sound of Settling
12. Transatlanticism

Awesome - thanks for the set list Aaron @9.
Folks are right... they really did need a much longer set to hit all the "must includes" for a set to be feel complete.

Laura, your photos always amaze. Excellent work!

It should also be noted that the beginning of "Cinnamon Girl" was played twice because, as Neil himself said, the first attempt "wasn't good enough for Everett."
