It's amusing that Powell would attract your attention, considering his role in selling the Iraq ward in the first place.
I'll be looking forward to your post on Colin Powell, and in particular, paying attention to the reasons why this endorsement would please you, other than its timing.

Hey, we can be as opportunistic and you conservatives. Colin Powell might not have made the right decision with the Iraq War, but anything that helps the cause now is good.
And I'm sure McCain would be eating it up if Powell endorsed him. In fact, the mere fact that McCain didn't get the endorsement is reason enough to be excited.
