It's finally here. Voting day. I AM GIDDY with excitement. Wearing red, white, and blue even. That's how big a dork I am.
I went and dropped off our absentee ballots right when the poll opens at 7a. There was a line around the building. How about all of you? Are you seeing huge wait times? Did you well with civic pride and excitement?

If the polls hold up the way that everyone on the planet not living in denial expects and Obama wins, this will be the first time in my life I voted for a winner for President (including primaries).
In 2000 I voted in the WA primary for Bill Bradley and in the general election for Al Gore.
In 2004 I caucused for Howard Dean (went in as a John Kerry supporter but changed my vote on the promise that I'd be the Dean delegate to the Snohomish County Democrats convention) and then voted for Kerry in the general election.
This year I caucused (and voted in the primary) for Hillary Clinton and we all know how that turned out.
With the exception of the 2004 caucuses, I voted my conscience and believe I did the right thing but it'll be nice for once to be on the winning team.
That's what's cool about America. I don't have to tell you who I voted for, nobody does, but did anyway.

On another note, the King County Elections office is on Twitter as well and they've been updating all day. I can't get to it from my work computer but I think it's @kcvotes.
