Fleet Foxes opening for Wilco!
Submitted by Cory Banks on May 27, 2008.Fleet Foxes are having a fantastic year. A great showing at SXSW, critical acclaim for their Sun Giants EP, and their debut LP due next week. Now they're opening a big show in Spokane for a little band called Wilco.
Jeff Tweedy and the boys are playing the INB Performing Arts Center on August 21st, their only Washington show this summer, and tickets go on sale this Friday. Sure, it's a drive through the barren wastes of Washington State -- didn't you just do that, Sasquatch people? -- but Fleet Foxes is worth it.

C'mon guys all this fawning over Fleet Foxes? I've seen them twice and with their standard issue hippy beards and hair they are to 70's California hippy rock what Sh Na Na Na is to 50's Doo Wop. They sound accurate but it all comes of sounding like beatlemania schtick. Where's the new thought?? Are we so unimpressed with things going on now in modern music that we pine so hard to turn back the clock? blech!
