Yeah totally, New faces were the most professional and collected group. I'm in love with Nextdoor Neighbors, but they didn't have as much verity, and Man Down Medic just didn't have enough songs.

I was all rooting for Deer City!
And last year, man Natalie Portman's Shaved Head was robbed! I think the judges are a little too...safe.

I was there 2 weeks ago for a semi-final round where Man Down Medic won and I was there on the finals night when New Faces took the stage and played like seasoned passionate vets. In the interest of full disclosure. I did not catch Man Down Medic at the finals, and most importantly, I LOVE New Faces. So I'm biased.
Nextdoor Neighbors was the first band and I liked them a lot. They had some infectious beats and truly expressed an Indie Pop vibe. I hope to hear from them again. My support went to New Faces who during their show interacted with their audience with style. Oh, and they played like it was the last thing they would ever do again. Inspirational.
cr - oh and Preston, I don't care if you say veriety or variety or viagra. I understood what you were saying all the same. Don't let anyone correct your spelling if you don't want 'em too ya hare me???

Heard quite an amazing New Faces demo on KEXP this morning. "Impulse" is not on their myspace, so here are the coordinates to it on the playlist:

If I didn't know those were 16 yo kids playing, I'd NEVER have guessed it from that track.
