Billy Bragg continues to fight for the working musician

First he took on MySpace. Now, he takes on everyone else on the use of indepedent and unsigned musicians' works on social networking sites. And, as usual, Billy has it right in an Op-Ed piece in today's New York Times.

And to remind us, here's Billy Bragg doing "There is Power in a Union."

Agree with him 100%. Unfortunately, now and as pretty much has always been the case, people who are generous and honest consistently get shafted by those who are avaricious and duplicitous. The only way to have any chance is to get other nasty fucks working to protect your own interests; a lesson learned too late by many musicians.
