I know there are lots of political junkies around here, so this seems like it should be mentioned. From CNN.com:
Veteran newsman Tim Russert of NBC News died today of a heart attack, the network announced. He was 58. Russert had been the moderator of the network's "Meet the Press" since December 1991. Russert also was a best-selling author, penning "Big Russ and Me," a memoir of life with his father.

This is so sad! I am really going to miss his political commentary -- I haven't been able to watch any of the coverage (blame dayjob), but will certainly get even more choked up when I tune in later tonight... and especially on Sunday during Meet the Press.
