Tangled up in blue states

In case, for some reason, celebrity endorsements still (or ever) mattered, Bob Dylan has officially announced his endorsement of Barack Obama:

"Well, you know right now America is in a state of upheaval. Poverty is demoralising. You can't expect people to have the virtue of purity when they are poor. But we've got this guy out there now who is redefining the nature of politics from the ground up...Barack Obama. He's redefining what a politician is, so we'll have to see how things play out. Am I hopeful? Yes, I'm hopeful that things might change. Some things are going to have to."

-Bob Dylan, in London's The Times

Though Obama has already racked up a lot of musicial support (including The Boss), as well as the nomination, it's still neat to see a new voice for change be supported by "the voice of a generation."

If you haven't already, register to vote, if you're in to that sort of thing.

i know this really wasn't the purpose of your post, but the title caught my eye. it wasn't until the 2000 election that people really took notice of the blue vs red & that it became nomenclature for democrat vs republican.

the networks used to switch back & forth, depending on incumbency. clinton's wins were represented by red in '92 and '96. i'm interested to see if the traditional switch holds true or the networks are resistant.

That's interesting, as I've always favored red over blue and have been annoyed that the repubs have taken over with my favorite color. Hmm it seems too ingrained to change now, but then this election is all about change, right?
