Tonight in Seattle:

Shows for a sunny weekend... see any?

Another Sunday evening, another time to muse over a rock and roll weekend well-spent. Did anyone make it out to the Noise for the Needy shows? How about the Georgetown Music Festival? Anything else fun, thrilling, and exciting to report about?

Please share with the imaginary class.

Georgetown on Saturday was fantastic! Beautiful weather, wonderful music (Aqueduct, Tennis Pro)

Matt & Kim at the Noise for the Needy show on Saturday. Those two are seriously happy, and I've now got the biggest crush on Kim. Swoon.

Yacht's performance/presentation was a ton of fun, too.

Old 97s were absolutely primo -- review coming next!

I didn't go to any shows because my weekend was taken up by the final weekend of SIFF - but I was at the awards brunch yesterday morning and was VERY excited to be there when they announced that The Wrecking Crew won the Golden Space Needle Award for Best Documentary.

That's great news, Chris!

It was wonderful hanging out with you last week, by the way.

The Album Leaf performing music for "Sunrise" at the Triple Door on Friday night was incredible. I had to leave a little early to get to my wife's art show, but what I saw of that collaboration worked out so much better than I ever imagined. I was blown away by the band's interpretation of the classic, creepy silent film!

That was a lot of fun, Chris! It was wonderful hanging out with you too last week!

I'm also very please to see that The Wrecking Crew is resonating with filmgoers. I hope it helps in getting the film picked up and distributed!

we had fun saturday night!
