Tonight in Seattle:

Band I can't get enough of: Sea Wolf

Sea Wolf has really been blowing me away lately with beautiful, delicate, intense songs. I got a chance to catch them live this past Friday and they were really great. The arrangements are dense on the record and I was concerned that the live show might not capture the spirit of the record, but concern no more!

Hear some songs at MySpace.

Listen to their Daytrotter Session.

I also caught a little video at the show. Here is my favorite song, "The Garden That You Planted."

If anyone could make me an A/V-enabled diagram of all bands with Wolf, Deer, Tiger, Bear and other animals in their names, I'd be much obliged. Srsly.

I was just thinking that I saw Sea Wolf last time they played in Seattle (boring!) and the opening bands were BOAT and the Fleet Foxes - so if I wrote a negative review of that show I could have started a riot here on TIG!

(Actually, only Sea Wolf was boring.)

Leaves in the River is another great one

I can never remember if it's Wolf Eyes or Wolf Parade I like until I look at the play count on my iTunes. This is just going to confuse things further.
