Don't see your show on our calendar? Contact our calendar editor.
I miss everyone on the blog today! How the hell are you?
Are you all sleeping in/hungover after the Noise for the Needy kickoff show with the Black Angels last night? Are you suffering from intense seasonal affective disorder from all the grey rainy days in June and unable to type? Or is everyone as swamped with dayjob work (as I am)?
Let's have a bit of show and tell time today. Today I'm in the dayjob throes editing a massive document that has loads of phrases like "optimizing intelligence" "monetize," and "deliverables expectations," yadda yadda. Fun stuff.
What are you doing?

Staring at spreadsheets on the Eastside. I'd rather be editing. At least I can turn the music up.

My dayjob has been off the hook this week with deadlines and lots of projects flying to and fro. Today I've chosen a killer playlist (on repeat) consisting of: the new Saturday Knights record, She & Him, The Pharmacy, and (of course) Nana Grizol to help me focus, finish up things.
I can't wait for this weekend... I've got a full calendar of shows/events (starting tonight at 6p!). I hope I get it all done in time so I don't have to lame out on stuff.

I'm just chilling in prep for tonight's Tullycraft show here in Boston.

I got most of my dayjob work caught up now so I think I'm going to listen to the Lil Wayne record and decide whether or not to see the Garrison Keillor movie at SIFF tonight or not (I'm either trying to figure out a rational reason for disliking him so much or I'm a masochist - maybe both).

I, too, am stuck under dayjob madness. Currently reconciling a bunch of untracked changes made to text in Excel, then reinserting it to my master Word docs. Peppered with phrases like "extend your reach" and "accelerate your sales cycle." (Dana, I know you can appreciate this parallel to your dayjob madness!)
At least I have the Jesus and Mary Chain to get me through -- both on my iPod, and e-tickets to their July show in my inbox!

Getting my shit together at work, and, ala Ash at 4, getting ready to prep tomorrow for some Tullycraft action in New York.
Anyone in New york reading this and seeing the Cannanes Sunday? Want to be my Cannanes friend?

I have seriously overtaxed myself this month: I'm booking a show for Hollow Earth Radio, which also consists of advertising and show managing; attending Georgetown Fest this weekend to both review for TIG and interview/record for HER; conducting an recorded interview for HER; plus the usual TIG things, reviewing shows and emailing bands/PRs. Did I mention I also have a 40hr/week day-job?
It's all fun and I'm not complaining, but I definitely am not used to being such an ambitious person, so I've been taking a lot of naps during my downtime.
Just to add a bit of stress, my dog ate a bunch of Tic Tacs and part of the plastic case this afternoon. Fortunately they are not the sugar-free kind, which are as deadly as chocolate for dogs, but it's still a bit iffy. Today has become "Take Your Dog to Work Day" for me! to keep an eye on him :(

@elle -- I'm sorry your doggie is sick, but I must confess that the idea of a Tic-Tac loving dog is kinda funny...

If I wasn't so excited to hear from you how the Tullycraft shows are (Ash/Sleepwalker in Boston, Joe in NYC), then I'd be mighty jealous. They are blogging from the road and it sounds like last night's show was a major hoot.

So anyone see Black Angels? They'll be in Grimsville shortly, and will prolly catch them. I won't be dissapointed, will I?
14 ChrisB said on June 12, 2008
Funny, neither Pollstar nor Brooklyn Vegan lists any shows in Grimsville. Is that in the suburbs somewhere?
15 The Grim said on June 12, 2008
It's a suburb of Hogsmeade.

Very busy with 'day job'; no time to surf.
And busy working/playing with a new computer in the evenings at home.
