Head like a Kite

Dave from HLAK and pal Graig Markel (and a lovely blonde woman I don't recognize offhand) rock out at the HLAK CD release show at Neumo's last night. If I hadn't been sleeping off our sixth birthday party the night before, I would have toooootally been all over this show. Anyone have comments to share from the crowd?

YES!!! This show was *so* much fun. The highlight for me was definitely "A Dime and a Cigarette," though Aysa's cameo appearance was right up there.

Question: How can we get more awesome free CD release shows? That was the easiest and best experience I've ever had just navigating around Neumos.

Also, for the record, every person in this picture moves like a muppet.

Anika - I don't know much about club economics but I think the short answer is just to go to them (and bring lots of friends) and drink (and bring friends who drink) - if clubs have a lot of people going to those shows and they sell a lot of alcohol at them, they will be more likely to host more free shows.

The next free show on Capitol Hill that I know of is The Pica Beats and The Color Bars at Chop Suey on 7/19, although not a CD release. And all the shows at the Skylark in West Seattle are free, as well.

On another note, I love how Jeanine's photos are always photo of the day because Jeanine's photos are always awesome!

I really wish I was there - sounds like it was a really fun show!

And they are cute and nice folks too..:) Where is Trent? Is he just outta the picture?

@saundrah: Trent was absolutely and fully there and brought it good. However he was positioned way far stage left and this little group was way far stage right.
I guess if you have the room, might as well use it!
