Robin Williams in Wallingford

OK, tis true that Robin Williams isn't indie or at all related to music or the DIY lifestyle we usually focus on here at Three Imaginary Girls (especially since that rash of movies like RV and  License to Wed, to name a few).

But I have to report this nonetheless: I just found out that Robin Williams is filming a movie in Wallingford, mere blocks from my home! Read the full scoop here.

Are there any rumors of summer celebrity sightings in our parts?

(Thanks to NancyO and the PI for the tipsterness)

My roommate works for a hotel. A hotel where touring bands stay a lot. So I know these people are definitely neither 'indie' nor cool, but as much as my roommate wanted to hate Joel Madden (from that band Good Charlette) and his wife (or whatever) Nicole Richie, he said they were both really nice during their stay a few days ago, and said their daughter is really cute, and they're good tippers, etc. etc.

This, of course, doesn't top his story of chatting up Cat Power last spring. He said she was cooler, prettier, and taller in real life.

I saw that PI story last night and then saw somewhere this AM (Slog?) that Robin Williams was at Laff Hole last night.

I've been hearing Bobcat sightings since SIFF every so often (SIFF closing night party! City Hall!). Good to know what's the reason behind that.

Ah, of course he'd be at the Laff Hole!!! That means he'll be stopping at Giggles any night now, no? The man lives and breathes comedy ya know.

My friend and his girlfriend saw Merrill Streep a few weeks ago walking around their neighborhood in between Wallingford and Green Lake. I guess her daughter lives up here. At least I think it was Merrill Streep. Now I'm starting to wonder if it was actually another famous actress....
