Death Cab releases "Cath" video

I'm not going to lie. I'm a little disappointed to see "Cath" become a single. I always thought it had too much lyrical depth for radio, and that it'd lose it's punch after the millionth play on Top 40 radio. But alas, my Northwest boys are now superstars and I have no say in the matter.

Death Cab for Cutie has just released an Autumn de Wilde-directed video for the wedding-themed track. It gets a little bathetic when the entire band mouths the lyrics, but I think Gibbard's chops make up for it.

definately my favorite song on the album by a long shot. but i'd have to say i'd rather see the video a lot less to the lyrics and i think it would have been better off without the whole whole-band-sitting-around-singing scenario. or maybe no video at all. but the chops do indeed make up for the video.
