How to behave on the bus and other lessons from the 1950s, '60s, and '70s
Submitted by Jeanine Anderson on July 11, 2008.Pre-func at Vermillion Gallery tonight and you'll time travel to the 1950s, '60s, and '70s. Third Eye Cinema and Vermillion Gallery will be showing old 16mm educational films all evening on topics ranging from how to behave on the bus to handling an alcoholic mother.
Wonder what else they've got in store? Maybe how to fend off a boy when on a date (you KNOW someone had to have made a film on that!), how to use the gym shower, how to tell if your friend is using marijuana (I'm SURE there's one around on this subject too!). Crazy kids. Life sure was wild back then.
What would you like to be educated on, 1950's style?

Poor Bill Jones. Credited as "Child Molester." There went his dreams of being Humphrey Bogart.
This also makes me rethink having a salami sandwich for lunch.

Here's one (1955 spot on How to Spot Perverts)... I'm not sure I understand what they are getting at though. Salami, rent boy? I'm wondering why they didn't say anything about chicken breast or is that pt 2? Now everything sounds perverted!
