Tonight in Seattle:

The imaginary {baby} girl

My not-so-imaginary baby girl is nine days old today. I don't want to brag, but she's amazingly awesome. And she's so smart, with such good taste in music! Her first words were, "Mama, I can't believe it's been 48 hrs and you STILL haven't downloaded the new Magnetic Fields record!!!"

She's right. I'm behind on all sorts of music news.

I'm hoping you, brilliant imaginary readers, can help me. I have precious few minutes to catch up... so if there's one bit of music news/excitement that's happened in the past week, or anything amazing coming up in the near future, can you fill me in?? I'm gonna check this blog post and I'm counting on your wise imaginary words to keep me (somewhat) up-to-date while I'm blissfully lost in newborn land.

And for all those who asked, here's a peek at our beautiful wee one...

Wee

xoxo all!

Aw Dana she's gorgeous! When will she be old enough to wear tiny converse?

Congratulations Dana! I haven't seen you in long enough, I didn't even know you were due. She is so beautiful! I agree with Kiku about the tiny converse. They are the cutest things a baby could ever wear. :)

Awww thanks you guys! And I agree about the baby converse. I think it'll still be awhile, but once it's time, she's sure to have a pair (or three).

Congratulations, Dana! We had our daughter 8 months ago, and I, too, became out of touch with music for several weeks. (I'm still finally hearing some music that came out around May/June of this last year.) Luckily, Sydney has similar tastes to mine, and is becoming a frequent guest co-host on my radio show.

Congratulations again and again!

I'm sorry I didn't offer my wishes sooner, I've just been cooing ever since I saw the 1st photo of Ainsley! You guys created a beauty.

As for music news, I've also been a bit out of the loop, all planning and recovering from Sound on the Sound's 1st (Annual) Birthday Party at The Blue Moon. it was pretty amazing... Yesterday SOTS bought our tickets for SXSW, where we will also be co-hosting our 1st day party... those babies, be they blogs or not-so-imaginary-ainsley's... grow up so fast!

Congrats, Dana.

Congrats, a beautiful girl! I had sky blue tiny converse when I was younger. Everyone needs tiny converse and the Magnetic Fields.

So now there will be 4 Imaginary Girls!!!
