Tonight in Seattle:

Funniest thing I heard all week

This was overheard at my day job a couple of days ago:

Coworker A: So, I hear you're in a rock band.

Coworker B: Yeah, we're a classic rock cover band.

Coworker A: Cool. Did you know that I once hung out with the lead singer for Steely Dan?

Coworker B: No, really? What's his name?

Coworker A: Uhh, you know...Dan.

My freshman science teacher was in a Beatles cover band, haha. I don't get the point of classic rock cover bands.

I saw No. 13 Baby at the Croc, a few months before it closed. They were actually pretty damn good. Too bad the actual Pixies don't sound like that anymore.

I had a friend in college who like to get people to claim that they saw Steely Dan in concert. Since they only toured from 72-74, mostly people were tots when they would have had the chance. Many people still claimed to have seen them. Even in the 80's! And SD broke up in 81... Those liars. :)
