Love 'em or hate 'em, Pitchfork puts together some mighty music lists. The end of the year is prime time for music reading, with so many best of lists it'll make your head spin.
But if you're looking for a work diversion, some exposure to killer songs you may have missed or are just enough of a nerd to read every word of every song description... Pitchfork has put together their 100 Best Tracks of 2008. Each little song quip is accompanied by a streaming version of the song... hooray!

Step 2: Read description of song at bottom of list (top of page)
Step 3: Click play on little player below
Step 4: Pump up the volume

OK, now I'm on 16: The Mae Shi -- "Run to Your Grave" I really really like that one. Now I must go get whole album!
