Previously I've regretted breaking news here that I get via my Facebook friends' status updates but this was confirmed by the High Dive's website: Ms. Led, the first band I ever wrote about (back when I was a writer at ROCKRGRL magazine) and have been friendly with ever since, is playing their final show in January. January 23rd at the High Dive, to be exact.
I'm very saddened by this because Ms. Led was one of the very first bands to be nice to me when I started going to shows 6 years ago. They also kick ass. Unfortunately, my birthday is also that night, so I don't think I'll be able to make this show - which makes it suck times ten now.
I was also sick when The Young Sportsmen played their final show a few weeks ago and I loathe not being able to properly say goodbye to my favorite Northwest.
I'll post more details when I know them. In the meantime, here's the awesome video to the song "New Agenda".

ms. led was one of the first bands i saw perform in seattle after moving there in october 2002. i've also had the good fortune of meeting lesli wood in person and she is incredible - on so many levels. i wish i was there to see the last show. i hope they keep rocking, one way or another.

Anyone know what the darling Lesli Wood will be doing next in the music arena?

Thank you for the sweet responses. I have loved being a part of Ms. Led and this will always be my favorite band. I do have a new project that will be debuting in March - a dancier band in the style of Le Tigre. I'll be sure to keep everyone posted. For now, we really hope to see you on January 23rd at the High Dive to celebrate these 9 great years of Ms. Led.
