A Beautiful Noise are a contemporary shoegaze group from San Diego, CA. They live up to their name -- and they're fantastic. Last year they released their debut, a six-song E.P. called Electric Soul that recalls the greatness of The Jesus and Mary Chain, Spacemen 3, Spiritualized, My Bloody Valentine, and the Cocteau Twins.

They've just finished a new album and according to their website, it should be out soon. They even recorded a rendition of the Spacemen 3 classic, "Sound of Confusion." Hopefully, they will at least do a west coast tour when the full-length release comes out.
