Spoon, the Magnetic Fields get vinyl re-issues. Thanks, Merge!

Since my fella procured a turntable for our place last year, we've developed a bit of a, erm, vinyl problem. Or as I like to call it, a vinyl solution. We've been building our (still sadly meager) collection as fast as we can afford it, taking lots of great suggestions from Team Imaginary along the way.

I'd like to personally thank Merge Records for being a fine enabler. They will be reissuing Spoon's Girls Can Tell and A Series of Sneaks on delicious 180-gram vinyl, as well as the Magnetic Fields' Charm of the Highway Strip {huzzah!}.

You can pre-order those records now (I believe they're all gonna be available in May), and each record contains a coupon for a digital download, so your iPod won't feel neglected.

Hat tip to So Much Silence.

HUZZAH! for realsies! Charm Of The Highway Strip was my introduction to MF's and remains my favorite release. Born On A Train is my jam!

Vinyl solution? Isn't it too sunny a day for fascist puns?
