Tonight in Seattle:

Outkast gets collaborative

Outkast has announced they will be releasing a new joint album sometime next year. Not since 2000's Stankonia has the group made their outfit a collaborative effort; both Speakerboxxx/The Love Below and Idlewild were predominantly solo tracks.

“We got a few songs we already picked out. We pick the beats first. I drop my [solo album] in July, Dre puts his out [later this year], and we drop that Outkast record at the top of [next] year.”

-Big Boi

Lately, Outkast has been keeping busy designing clothes (Andre 3000) and creating a ballet (Big Boi), but apparently not busy enough to keep them from pumping out a fair share of music.

Hopefully by the time all three albums get released, "Bombs Over Baghdad" won't seem so politically relevant.
