It's been 27 years since David Byrne and legendary producer/ambient forefather Brian Eno collaborated on My Life in the Bush of Ghosts. Byrne recently announced the two are at it again:
"Brian had written a lot of music but needed some words, which I know how to do."
The album will come out on Nonesuch by the end of the year, and, according to Byrne, sounds like "electronic gospel."
I can live with that.

David Byrne and Bian Eno...pre-Gnarles Barkley? The Forefathers? Electronic Gospel? Pre-Programmed Electronic Disco? D.B. + B.E. = John Belushi and Dan Akroyd?

This is great news! I always love hearing about new works from Brian Eno and David Byrne, and the combination is sure to be another swell collection of songs.

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of Eno, and maybe it's just me, but I feel like his work both as a musician and producer are a little overlooked at times. But then again, I realize drudgingly slow ambient music isn't everyone's bag.
The killer thing about ...In the Bush with Ghosts is I found it the other day on vinyl, along with Another Day on Earth and had no freakin' money! GAH!
Such is life.
