And the best Rock Club in America is...
Submitted by Jflores on April 23, 2008.Stubbs in Austin, Texas!
Well, at least according to Rolling Stone via The Tripwire, and I can't say that I disagree. Stubbs is always a favorite stop during SXSW and I am sure if I lived in Austin, would be a regular haunt.
You can read the rest of The Tripwires post here.
Do you agree with this assesment, or do you have another nominee? What about the Best Rock Club in Seattle?

I'm a small club kinda guy myself...give me Spaceland in L.A. any day of the week (especially residency Mondays) and I'd be there.

Stubbs? I've been there several times at SXSW, and it's nice and all, but nothing legendary. Red Rocks in Denver owns on that in every way, sound, sight lines, atmosphere, etc.

Stubbs is great. I love all those open air/semi-open air venue Austin has. Emo's is neat too.
But as far as Seattle goes...hmmm...
The Showbox has a huge place in my heart. So probably that. Though I do appreciate how a smaller (in size) venue like Neumo's gets huge bands.
I'd still go with the Showbox, because of all the memories.
