IMAGI-BLOG

The day is beautiful. And so are you.

Those of you who know me, know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Magnetic Fields/all things Stephin Merritt. So this email greeting me on a Monday morning was a better high than a quad short Americano with soy milk:

The Magnetic Fields are happy to announce that their new album, titled "Distortion," will be released on Nonesuch Records on January 15, 2008. The band will perform a small number of U.S. tour dates in February and March. Specific details regarding venues and ticket pre-sales will be announced shortly.

To celebrate, how about a Magnetic Fields video? They don't seem to have many official ones, so I opted for this cute animation for "Luckiest Guy on the Lower East Side" from 69 Love Songs, my favorite record(s) of all time.
