Tonight in Seattle:

"Control" opens tonight

Finally, after months of watching the trailer and anticipating the first feature film of director Anton Corbijin, the moment is here: "Control," the biopic of Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis, opens tonight at the Egyptian. See you there!

This excites me so, not only because its a Joy Division movie, but because its directed by Anton Corbijn (yes, only one "i" in Corbijn".)

I couldn't decide which Corbijn video to link to, so here are two:
Nirvana's "Heart Shaped Box"
U2's "One"

Oop bad spelling, Stella! (I was pre-coffee.) Thanks for catching that!

to me, the corbijn video that eclipses all other corbijn videos is 'enjoy the silence'. the final image at the mountain top is one of the greatest music video images ever.

Oh, that is a good one!

I really want to go tonight -- but I fear it's going to sell our or there's going to be a line. Surely folks wont cue up for a matinee, will they?

That video is so memorable - just gorgeous.

I think we should have an Imaginary Movie Night tonight to see this!

Come on guys, surely Atmosphere is the more fitting video here?

I saw the movie this weekend and it was AWESOME! So beautifully shot and the part of manager Rob Gretton was expertly played. It's a must see!
