Great show at the comet with Spanish For 100 putting on a great show. They have a way of pulling you in. Curtains For You headlined they have a lot of energy. Any time dancing ensues you know something is going well. There was also a 2 piece opener part of a band called velvet drive. It seems they are normally a full blown rock outfit, complete with cello. For this show it was just Cello and guitar, but it was interesting enough to make me want to find them again and see what it sounds like for real. Hope TIG and everyone else had a great weekend.

Thanksgiving was its typical chaotic self this year! Friends and family seen throughout the weekend sprinkled with a little dressing on top.
The only shows I saw were the following:
1. The crazy sounds of dream filled middle class players at the GUITAR CENTER in Totem Lake. Friday was their 20% off of anything sale...oh my.
2. Last night...Me playing with my new MICRO KORG sampler/synth...The pretty things it can do are like doors just waiting for me to open.
The most exciting thing for me was chatting with ROB SHARP from FACTS ABOUT FUNERALS regarding his upcoming show. It is a TIG show at The Crocodile on Weds. the 28th.
I am going to be there with bells and whistles on...I recommend anyone else who likes quality music and songwriting do so as well. These guys are going to be big...I can hear it in my deaf ears!

I caught the show at the Comet w/ Spanish For 100 and Curtains For You. I've never seen Seattle people dancing so much as during the Curtains set. They were really great!

Last Monday's Band of Horses show was great! I just wished more of my favorite bands would stop playing on MONDAY's ... f'n school night concerts make for a tough Tuesday! But the show was spectaculiar, Ben Bridwell has one of, if not THE, best voices in pop music today. The band was tight and the crowd was completely engaged ... a good night all around, well worth the hangover at work the next day.

I spent Thanksgiving in a venue in Roskilde, Denmark (just outside Copenhagen) to see my current fav Danish band I GOT YOU ON TAPE!! I am encouraging them to send TIG and KEXP a CD so Seattle can get to know them! They are a must for Interpol fans as they have a pinch of that kind of sound.. but I feel they have a unique wash of keys and tight hypnotic rhythm that is mixed with interesting lyrics sung like a picture puzzle... (they sing in English..:) ) See a video here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb9uk9A9m3o
