Tonight in Seattle:

New releases for the week, from Easy Street Records

Not much to talk about again this week!

Through the Wilderness is a tribute album to Madonna, although I sorta doubt Madonna had ever heard of most of the artists on it! The most recognizable name is Lavender Diamond. I guess the main point is that 25% of the profits go to Raisingmalawi.org

Cunninlynguists put out a record called Dirty Acres. I just wanted to point that out.

Here's the rest:

Chuck D & The Slamjamz Artist Review - Tribb to JB
Common - Thisisme Then: The Best of Common
Cunninlynguists - Dirty Acres
GOB - Muertos Vivos
Incubus - Light Granades
Mudvayne - By The People For The People
The Radiators - S/T
The Rumblestrips - Alarm Clock EP
V/A - Ultimate Grammy Collection
V/A - A Santa Cause 1-2
V/A - Through The Wilderness: A Tribute To Madonna

That is abysmal week for sures.

The one high point is the US release of the Rumble Strip's Alarm Clock EP ... I'm quite fond of the Rumble Strips, although "Girls & Boys in Love" is a better song than "Alarm Clock" ...

Really, there is one, maybe two more records worth mentioning this year: Lupe Fiasco's new disc and the new Wu-Tang Clan. Oh and maybe the Rufus Wainwright does Judy Garland Live disc. That's it for 07.

didn't the new interpol live ep come out this past week?

that madonna joint has 'cleopatra records' written all over it. when can we get an all-oboe no-name-goth-band tribute to joy division volume 2?
