Magnetic Fields tickets on sale TODAY (special pre-sale awesomeness)

Our friends in the Magnetic Fields just emailed us to give us the super secret skinny on procuring tickets for their upcoming February/March, 2008 tour... go buy your tickets NOW!!! If you haven't joined their email list already, go do that first to access the pre-sale specialness.

(I'd offer more commentary, but I'm too busy dancing and freaking out about the show -- it's going to be a long four months people...)

The Magnetic Fields are touring! We're looking forward to playing a few US shows in early 2008 following the January release of our new album, "Distortion." Tickets are available starting this week, with a limited number of advance pre-sale tickets for select shows available now through MusicToday. Tickets are also available at venue box offices and other online agents. (Note: Venue box offices and offline resellers always have lower ticketing surcharges.) Ticket availability dates, costs, and surcharges vary by location, so please visit our website's calendar page for further details. All shows are all-ages.

Here's a reminder of how awesome Stephin Merritt was last time they were in Seattle. Is anyone going to Deadhead them and see them in more than one city?

Stella @ 1, Town Hall is at 8th and Seneca.

directions here.

It's a cool intimate venue but you kinda feel like you're sitting on church pews...

It doesn't just feel like you're sitting in church pews, you ARE sitting in church pews; the building used to be a church.

2nd row center for the second New York show. Sucks you could only buy for one show during the pre-sale. Ah well...excitement abounds.

I can just picture igBaby and igDana dancing in the aisle and singing along to "Nothing Matters When We're Dancing."

Or Daddy singing a slightly revised song, "I'm The Luckiest Guy on Fremont's South Side."

Hehe. I'm pretty sure baby's first favorite Magnetic Fields song will be "Papa Was a Rodeo" -- though "Let's Pretend We're Bunny Rabbits" might pull a close second.

arghhhhh! what is the internet presale code for ticketmaster (for the sf shows)?????????

Charles said on November 7, 2007:

No kidding, this is my issue to! I'm on the f'ing mailing list and on the fan club but I have no password at the moment!!! Does anyone have this?

imaginary liz said on November 7, 2007:

I found out last night that all the Seattle presale tickets were gone by 10a Seattle time... perhaps that's what happened in SF? We, in Seattle, didn't have a presale code... it was just a log in process using your fanclub log in.

Charles said on November 7, 2007:

That's true, yes, but then another batch goes on sale @ Ticketmaster today only some of us can't find the the password. They really got waaaay too cute with this one. 2 different presales. And they moved he sale date twice.

imaginary dana said on November 7, 2007:
