Tonight in Seattle:

Who needs this t-shirt??

It's the perfect holiday gift for all the elitest indie-hipsters on your shopping list. And it's mathematical!

Music I like, music you like

What with all our griping about other website's best of the year lists, this seem particularly appropriate today.

This is so cute!! The indie-elitist inside me wants it so bad!

I saw someone wearing that at Flatstock. I almost fell over with love.

A great t-shirt, to be sure, but someone (might as well be me) needs to point out that it's logically inconsistent. The set 'Music I Like' doesn't include the subset 'Music I Used To Like'.

Class assignment for tonight is Chapter 23: Venn Diagrams, in your mathematics textbook, and yes, there WILL be a quiz tomorrow.

Or, you could just go to the Van Halen show. Those guys are pushing 50, but I guess they're still hot for teacher. Which is kinda creepy.

ugh why didn't I notice that? ven diagrams are like 4th grade math! maybe its a little 'guilty pleasure' sort of thing? now I'm just making excuses...

This is the one that I just bought:

Haha cute!! That model looks suspiciously like the lovely Sufjan Stevens...

i think the logical inconsistency is being used to poke fun at the elitist-- because a true music snob only likes music that you've never heard of (this is the theme of ChrisB's shirt), thus it is impossible for the venn spheres to truly overlap in the time space continuum.

but i'm high as f*ck right now, so i dunno.

of course i need it.

You know, seeing these makes me glad I live in a stupid town where there are still alot of "indie rock-popers and emoists" who are like Elliott, who? And it was fun being in my college art class and only one other, much older student, recognise the velvet underground, pixies, etc and so on when I got to play my cds. Everyone else glared at me angrily for not playing like, err blink 182 or nickleback. Its really easy to be an elitist here, and maybe, I like it that way

Oh, also, I would like to make out with Randy after that comment.
