Viva Voce show in Portland tonight... their last show for a while?
Submitted by imaginary liz on December 5, 2007.Am I reading too much into this... or just out of the loop? Viva Voce posted a message on their MySpace that their FREE show tonight in Portland is "going to be their last for a while" and notes that this year has been rough.
Rumor mill... what's the scoop?
They are a critical, northwest, and photographer favorite (no one can deny their dashing good looks)... I hope this isn't, gulp, "the end."
For those of you in the Pacific Northwest, we're playing a farewell to '07 show, and undoubtedly our last for some time. The best thing about it,..it's free & it's going to be a par-tay. I'll spare everyone the year end wrap up, but it was a bugger & we're glad to be cooling the jets for a bit. So let's send it off right:
- Portland, Oregon @ Berbatis Pan
- Wednesday, December 5th
- 8pm with Ohmega Watts & Boy Eats Drum Machine

before they got so popular they were recording a record every winter. so maybe they will go back to doing that.

noooo....it's not the end of Viva Voce. I saw Anita the other day & she said they are taking a much needed long break. She said they were going to record a new record, so if it isn't viva voce, they're doing something!?!
