I guess it makes sense this is one of the least offensive ones? On all fronts... it's almost like your holiday giftlist checklist for the fams.

I'm surprised Andrew Bird didn't make this list.

Oh my -- you're right... he's surely #31.

What are numbers 26-30?

Actually, I think I've got the least to bitch about with this one - any list that puts Lily Allen ahead of Wilco is fine by me.

...despite the fact that 'alright, still...' came out in july of 2006.

ChrisB said on December 3, 2007:

But not domestically. It didn't come out in the US until January of 2007.

I don't mind this as much as the Q list...it's actually not bad :]

you are okay with this one?

how is it any different?

arcade fire
spoon
feist
the national

they are the same in slightly different order.

Danniel said on December 4, 2007:

We're seeing the same songs appear on these different lists because they're damn good listens.

boring maybe, but i don't think it's mainstream america...mainstream seattle/big city maybe.

I have to agree, Toby and ChrisB. I doubt Panda Bear, PB&J, and Stars (to name 3) would make many average Americans' top-25 lists. Or that the average American has heard of them, even.

The Wal-Mart best-of-the-year list, however...

(kidding, there isn't one)
