Tonight in Seattle:

Three Imaginary DVDs to see: ridiculous horror, an uncommon love story and an inspiring documentary

Full admission: I haven’t seen ANY of these (but they all got added to my Netflix queue this morning!)

The Final Destination: What can I say? I LOVE this series. Each installment is more insanely ridiculous then the rest, creating an impossible-to-believe chain of events that results in everyone’s splatterffic end. Therein lies the fun: you already know that cheating death just isn’t gonna happen – so you’re just waiting to see what new and inventive ways they cook up to kill people. Hooray!

Adam: I’ve wanted to see this since I missed it at SIFF, because it looks incredibly sweet. An Asperger’s love story that is sure to be a huge weeper. Beautiful Beth (Rose Byrne) falls for awkward Adam (Hugh Dancy) and her parents do not approve. Will they make it? I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure this won’t be one the boyfriend will want to watch with me…

The Hip Hop Project: A documentary about Chris "Kazi" Rolle, who rapped his way out of poverty and then started an outreach program to help other inner city kids. One word: AWESOME. I can’t wait to watch this.
