Tonight in Seattle:

imaginary liz's favorite albums of the last decade

The Thermals by Bobby McHugh

Yesterday I divulged my favorite albums of the year. Today I am ready to let go of my latest obsession: My album recap of how I spent my 00's.

WHOAS. I bet this took you forever! Nice job, Liz. (And of course I agree on Her Space Holiday!!!) :)
Yay listmania! I guess I should step it up and post my best of the decade!
Keenan - I can't wait to see your favs of the decade.

Amie - that HSH *still* knocks me off my feet!!! Glad you agree!!!
Hey Liz, I didn't know you liked Hefner! I was a huge fan of their earlier stuff -- I really need to listen more to "Dead Media." Thanks for reminding me to take it back out and spin it some more!
Oh my yes -- I dig on the Darren Haymen / Hefner. "Peppermint Taste" is one of the best songs ever.
Oh wait -- I just changed my mind... Hefner's "Half a Life" is one of the best songs ever.
(And on earlier records) "Don't Flake Out On Me," "It Was God Who Told Me To," "The Science Fiction" -- oh good Lord, there's so many. I love them all. I don't have Darren's solo stuff! I need to track 'em down. Seriously. I think he's the first/perhaps only musician I ever sent a "fan email" to -- I just couldn't believe how great his songwriting was. He was very nice in response, long before they advised that of musicians on the internet. ; )
Liz, you know I respect your musical opinions more than anyone else in the whole wide world, but I'm gonna have to call foul on the Long Winters--not only are they ranked FAR too low, but you picked the wrong record! Hello, The Worst You Can Do Is Harm??? C'mon, "Medicine Cabinet Pirate"?? "Scent of Lime"??? Songs of the decade, my friend. I'm just sayin'.
I know -- I totally expected "The Worst You Can Do Is Harm" top WIPTF, but when I studied the track listings side by side the fact that WIPTF has "Shapes,""Stupid" "Cinnamon" AND "New Girl" I realized I couldn't live without that album. Although TWYCDIH has the best Long Winters artwork ever! That's why we're yin and yang!
